KUCHING: Election Commission chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Hashim Abdullah announced as of 8.40pm, state BN had won 42 seats including two that were won uncontested.

Mohd Hashim said with this simple majority, the state BN would be able to form the government.

There are a total of 82 contested seats.
