Mah Sing to invest RM5b to build Bandar Baru Meridin East project
JOHOR BARU, Aug 6 — Mah Sing Group will invest RM5 billion to build the 1,3130-hectare Bandar Baru Meridin East in Kong Kong, Pasir Gudang here.
The five-phase project, which is expected to take 15 to 20 years to complete, aims to meet the needs of the rakyat.
Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, said the project, which is being implemented in eastern Johor, will help improve the people’s lives.
“We take into account various aspects when developing the area, including environmental, housing prices offered and the transportation system,” he said at the opening of the sales gallery and model house on East Meridin Pasir Gudang here today.
Also present were State Secretary, Datuk Ismail, Karim and Mah Sing Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Yaacob Mat Zin.
Under the Meridin East project, Mah Sing has launched the double-storey ‘Greenway’ and ‘Eden’ phases.
Iy plans to build 116 units under the ‘Eden’ phase and 161 units under ‘Greenway’ phase. — Bernama
