Six Indonesians jump from second floor of building to escape blaze
PETALING JAYA, Aug 6 — Fearing for dear life, six Indonesians threw caution to the wind when they jumped from the second floor of a three-storey building whose ground floor was ablaze in Subang Jaya last night.
The immigrants comprising five women and a man sustained leg and waist injuries in the 11pm incident at Jalan SS15/4.
Subang Fire and Rescue Second Senior Officer Hazinan Md Yusof said the victims were asleep in their rented premises when they realised fire had broken at an advertisemnt shop located on the ground floor.
He said a 10-man team from the Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue Department spent about 30 minutes to douse the blaze.
The victims were sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. — Bernama
