Dutch rejection of populist candidate may represent a turnaround in Europe
Exit polls are suggesting victory for PM Mark Rutte and his VVD party, a surprising win given the fact that populist candidate Geert Wilders had been leading pre-election polls in recent weeks. If the exit polls are correct, Dutch voters have restrained themselves from putting a populist, nationalist, far-right administration in power.
