Oh, Merriam-Webster, bless you and your shade.

By now, you've probably seen the announcement that British actress Jodi Whittaker will play the next Doctor in Doctor Who, making her the first woman to portray the iconic role in the long-running science fiction series.

Alas, as is common in 2017, the internet trolls had to weigh in with their two cents about why having a female Doctor means the world has gone "pc mad," whatever that means.
