KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 24): The FBM KLCI stayed in negative zone at the midday break today, as sentiment at the local bourse stayed tepid against the backdrop of mixed set of corporate earnings announced in the past few days.

At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI shed 0.09 points to 1,772.85. The index had earlier dipped to its intra-morning low of 1,770.51.

Market breadth was mixed with 315 losers and 282 gainers, while 456 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 1.13 billion shares, valued at RM776.34 million.
