Be patient in the face of adversity Rosmah tells Najib

PUTRAJAYA: Rosmah Mansor, wife of Prime Minister Najib Razak, has often reminded her husband to be patient in the face of adversity, saying such difficult times were a “test from God”.

Rosmah also revealed that she told her husband that God knows the truth.

“Whatever happens, we must always pray to Allah,” she told reporters at the Seri Perdana Complex here today.

While Rosmah did not specify the adversities, Najib has been linked to several controversies, such as the RM2.6 billion political donation from the Saudi royal family sent to his bank accounts and the state-owned investment company, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Najib, however, has been cleared of any wrongdoing in both cases by the Attorney-General and the Public Accounts Committee.

On a separate matter, Rosmah also urged schools nationwide to keep their surroundings clean after two students were bitten by snakes in separate incidents in Kelantan and Negeri Sembilan.

Teachers, she said, should also monitor their students taking part in gotong-royong as snakes and other animals often hid in shrubs during the hot weather.

Rosmah also advised the people to take care of their health during the hot season, especially children who should reduce their outdoor activities.

“Drink lots of water and, if possible, stay indoors to avoid heatstroke.”
