One-month lane closure on Cheras-Kajang Highway
KUALA LUMPUR: The Cheras-Kajang Highway will close two of its lanes for a month starting today (April 1) to facilitate pier painting works.
MMC-Gamuda KVMRT (PDP) Sdn Bhd, in a statement today, said the repair works from Km14.4 to Km14.8 would commence from 10pm to 5am.
“During this closure, the four lanes will be reduced to two lanes for 400 metres for both Kuala Lumpur and Kajang bound (traffic),” it said.
According to the statement, the month-long closure would also be conducted on Exit 702 and 703 of the Cheras-Kajang Highway (Kajang bound and Kuala Lumpur bound) to facilitate the construction of MRT Suntex and Sri Raya station and pier painting works.
The lane closure at Exit 702 Hulu Langat is to facilitate crossing pipe culvert construction and reinstatement works at Suntex MRT station.
The statement also said there would be a seven-day lane closure from April 1 from Km14 to Km14.7 of the same highway to faciliate the reinstating of lane marking works.
There will also be a continuation of short-term lane closure along Jalan Kuala Selangor (Subang bound and Kepong bound) for 14 days, starting April 2.
The closure, to enable the painting works of the future MRT Sungai Buloh station, will be conducted from 11 pm to 5 am.
