Star Wars drops new international trailer for ‘Rogue One’ (VIDEO)

NEW YORK, Aug 16 ― A new international trailer has been unleashed for the Star Wars spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, unveiling fresh details about the plot in the blockbuster to come.

The new clip for the film, which stars Felicity Jones as rebel mercenary Jyn Erso, offers fans a glimpse at how the rebels find out about the construction of the Death Star, revealing it is Jyn’s dad, a character called Galen Erso, who gives then the tip-off about the Empire’s super-weapon.

The Verge reports that Galen Erso will be played by Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, who joins a star cast which already includes Diego Luna as Captain Cassian Andor and Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, among others.

The international trailer also provides another look at the Rogue One Death troopers, who ― unlike the white-clad Stormtroopers fans already know ― are clad in black armour, much like that of the ultimate villain Darth Vader, who also reappears in this film, and is shown at the end of this new trailer. ― AFP-Relaxnews
