Ivanka Makes Massive Move With Her Brand That Few Saw Coming… Dept Stores Will Be Stunned
Ivanka Trump’s line of fine jewelry will soon be a thing of the past, according to the company’s new president.
Since its launch in 2007 at the Carlton Hotel in New York City, the line of jewelry has been available in approximately 50 high end retail establishments.
The announcement came from the company’s new head and long time employee, Abigail Klem. Trump recently relinquished her position as president of the company to join her family in D.C.
Vanity Fair was the first to report on the decision to discontinue the product.
In a statement, Klem confirmed the decision was made, “as part of our company’s commitment to offering solution-oriented products at accessible price points.”
“We will be focusing our efforts on existing and new categories that are most relevant to our loyal customers—including fashion jewelry, which successfully launched last fall with price points that are aligned with the rest of our collection,” she added.
Ivanka’s fashion line had a recent setback after Nordstrom announced they would no longer carry her merchandise.
Other retailers were quick to follow suit.
President Donald Trump expressed his indignation over the decision on Twitter.

Despite the decision from Nordstrom and other retailers, Refinery 29 reported that the company has seen an overall boost in sales.
“Since the beginning of February, they were some of the best performing weeks in the history of the brand,” Klem said, adding, “For several different retailers Ivanka Trump was a top performer online, and in some of the categories it was the [brand’s] best performance ever.”
Klem expressed optimism at the future of the line, saying, “We actually feel super optimistic because, I think, one, a lot of people support Ivanka, even across both political parties. And then I think a lot of other people feel like, Oh, I didn’t know Ivanka had a shoe line. Oh, I didn’t know she had a handbag line. And they’re buying it.”
