President Trump has often said that he won’t take a dime of taxpayer money while he’s the commander-in-chief.

However, he’s legally required to take his yearly salary of $400,000 — so he’s going to give it away.

The charity he’s donating to will be special, as White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that Trump has been gracious enough to let the media help decide where that money will go.

CNBC reports:

Trump had said during the campaign that he planned to donate his $400,000 annual salary to charity.

Press Secretary Sean Spicer told journalists the president will give the money at the end of the year and would “love your help” to determine where it goes.

He said, “The way that we can avoid scrutiny is to let the press corps” help decide.
