Leong, who had a previous record for a drug-related case, was ordered to serve the sentence from the date of arrest, which was Nov 20.
He was charged with committing the offence, which destroyed the garage, with the intention of destroying a house belonging to Cheah Chee Meng, 46, on Jalan USJ 6/6, Subang Jaya, here, at 10.55pm on Nov 19.
The charge, under Section 436 of the Penal Code, provides an imprisonment of up to 20 years and is liable to fine, if found guilty.
