Foo: Issue settled, will respond to criticism soon
KUCHING: Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Pending Milton Foo, who has come under fire for his recent outburst against the chief minister, says he will soon respond to the criticism from other BN candidates.
“I will call for a press conference soon,” he said when met by reporters at PBB headquarters here today (April 18).
Foo did not state when the press conference would be called, but pointed out that “the issue has been settled.”
To a question, he said the issue referred to the seat allocation issue which had already been settled by the chief minister.
When asked if he would still contest as a BN candidate, he did not give a direct reply but indicated that he was present at the meeting called by the chief minister.
As of the interview, Foo said he had not received the letter of authorisation.
However, it is understood that all BN candidates are supposed to get the letter of authorisation after the meeting with the chief minister today.
One of the BN candidates Datuk Idris Buang, when met by The Borneo Post, confirmed he had the letter signed by the prime minister to authorise him to contest under the BN logo.
