Activists hang 'Racism is as American as baseball' banner at Red Sox game
Once again, sports and politics collided after activists hung a giant anti-racism banner from the stands during a Boston Red Sox game.
With ESPN host Jemele Hill recently calling Donald Trump a "white supremacist” on Twitter – not to mention the controversy surrounding NFL player Colin Kaepernick — it's certainly not the first time the two have become intertwined this year.
According to The Boston Globe, during the fourth inning of Wednesday night's game between the Boston Red Sox and the Oakland Athletics, five fans lowered the black banner — which read in white letters: "Racism is as American as baseball" — over Fenway Park's legendary Green Monster. Read more...
