KUCHING: Weekend revellers at Damai beach were treated by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) Sarawak and Radio Republik Indonesia from Kalimantan Barat to a special showcase yesterday.

It featured local traditional dances, songs, ‘Pantun Berumpun’ held at Damai Craftworld and Event Centre at Damai Central here.

The objective was to foster rapport between the radio stations in Sarawak and Kalimantan and to share and exchange cultural ideas that have a place in both our societies so they can be passed on from generation to generation.

RTM Sarawak director Salmah Ibrahim Melina presented a souvenir to a representative for RRI before the cultural show and performance showcase on Saturday evening.
