LIMBANG: A traffic offender got into another spot of bother when he was detained on Friday afternoon for allegedly posting abusive and threatening messages on the traffic policeman concerned in social media.

The suspect, 40, from Kampung Seberang Kedai in his updated status in facebook had said: “Tembak pakai senapang angin baru tau apa rasanya” translated as “Shoot using airgun then he knows how it feels”.

Limbang District police chief Supt Mohd Bukhori Saffai when confirming the incident said the suspect was detained after paying his summons at Limbang Police Headquarters at around 3.04pm.

“The suspect has been remanded until Tuesday to facilitate further investigation. Seized from him were a handphone and sim card,” he said yesterday.

The case is being investigated under Sections 502 and 506 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Act.
