Jeremy Lin Suffers Knee Injury After Being Pushed From Behind, Leaves Court in Agony

During the fourth quarter of tonight’s season-opening game against the Indiana Pacers, Jeremy Lin suffered a knee injury after going up for a contested layup.

In the video footage below, Lin landed awkwardly after being pushed from behind while driving to the basket.

After he fell, he appeared to be in shock, then told his teammates “I’m done. I’m done,” before breaking down crying.

Shortly after the injury, Lin tweeted:

Fans everywhere have been offering good wishes for a fast recovering for the Brooklyn Nets point guard.

Lin scored 18 points in the game and his team went on to lose 140-131. He’s is scheduled to have his knee evaluated on Thursday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Fans are remaining hopeful that it’s not a serious knee injury. The good news is that Lin was able to walk off the court on his own.

“One thing that put him in a bad position, he got pushed. He got pushed from the back. That makes him land awkwardly. Where he landed awkwardly, it doesn’t really show there.” a commentator for Fox Sports said.
