Wong joins Muslims in gotong royong at Kpg Paradom
SIBU: Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, the direct BN candidate for Bawang Assan, yesterday spent time with Muslims in Kampung Paradom near here for a ‘gotong royong’ programme.
The programme was hosted by the Special Affairs Department (Jasa) Sibu Division in cooperation with the village to upgrade the Surau Husnul Khatimah.
Speaking at the occasion, Wong said the success of any event or programme depended on commitment and dedication.
As such, he was grateful to the kampung residents for taking part in the gotong-royong programme.
On another matter, Wong rallied voters in the village to vote for him during the polls on May 7.
“I hope the voters in Paradom will give their fullest and solid support to me. I promise to work hard for all in the next five years,” he stated.
Sibu and Mukah divisions Jasa head Awang Julaihi Awang Ali Borhan, political secretary to the chief minister Andrew Shilling Bangit, Pemanca James Semilan, Penghulu Jeffery Sut, Kapitan Ting Hung Hua and Surau Husnul Khatimah Committee chairman Jamil Akim were among those present.
