Liverpool cult hero expresses delight at Man Utd signing
It’s fair to say that Kolo Toure became a cult hero and a fan favourite during his 3-year stay at the club.
He was released by Klopp this summer after featuring heavily in our run to the Europa League final, but not before making 71 appearances across all competitions and give rise to a seemingly never-ending trove of GIFs and memes.
Despite the adoration he earned from Kopites, several Liverpool fans will raise an eyebrow tonight when they read his latest comments about a Man Utd signing.

Yes, Kolo has waxed lyrical about United new boy Eric Bailly – claiming that he’s joining one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
It’s all very odd – at least until you realise that Bailly is a fellow Ivorian.
“We’re proud of Eric. We’re all very happy for his move to Manchester United,” said Kolo.
“He’s a calm guy who works a lot, and today, this work has been noticed by one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
