RELA-BASHING DATUK SERI’S FORMER BOSS WAS WORLD’S FUTURE RICHEST MAN FROM CHINA

KUALA LUMPUR – A Selangor state assemblyman from DAP today lodged a police report against the “Datuk Seri” who was charged in court for assaulting three Rela men earlier this week.

Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lau Weng San alleged that businessman Liow Soon Hee was involved in money laundering and money game activities.

In his report, Lau provided details of five companies in which Liow is a director, and which are believed to have conducted illegal business activities.

“The business model and operation were similar to controversial figure, Zhang Jian’s YSLM multi-level marketing businesses,” Lau said, adding that Zhang was Liow’s former boss before fleeing Malaysia when YSLM came under investigation by Malaysian authorities.

Lau was joined by Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng and Selayang municipal councilor Yew Jia Haur at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters in making the report against Liow and the five companies.

The companies are Winner Dynasty Property & Development Sdn Bhd, Winner Dynasty Travel & Leisure Sdn Bhd, Winner Dynasty Golden Sdn Bhd, Winner Dynasty Academy Sdn Bhd, and Winner Dynasty Finest Jewellery Sdn Bhd.

Zhang had gained fame here in 2014 with billboards claiming himself as “the future world’s richest man”. He also awarded luxury cars to his lucky “distributors”.

In June this year, he was arrested in Indonesia and escorted back to China.

Yesterday, at the Ampang’s Sessions Court, Liow was charged over his alleged assault of  three Rela personnel outside a Chinese temple on Oct 27.

After paying bail, he was rearrested outside the courthouse by police over a 2014 drug-related offence.

According to Lau, he had previously lodged a complain with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) on Liow’s illegal business activities but no action was taken.

“I had met Datuk Amar Singh on Nov 1 (Bukit Aman commercial crime department chief) and he advised me to file a police report so that the police can probe this ‘Datuk Seri’ on the allegations,” Lau said.

He added the authorities should form a task force to investigate past cases involving Liow and also his companies.

“He is not a small figure. And why was no action taken on his previous cases?” Lau asked.

Yesterday, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Noor Rashid Ibrahim said that the police will relook at all the past investigation papers involving Liow.

He said the police are examining all evidence related to Liow and if there are sufficient grounds for prosecution.
