Drain the swamp.
It’s something we heard many times during Trump’s 2016 campaign and there is no doubt the idea of cleaning up D.C. resonated with voters.
The media has been pretending that Trump hasn’t been coming through on that promise.
That’s not the case.
Trump has made several positive moves to rein in out of control government and he took another step today that’s going to make a lot of conservatives happy.

President Trump signed a new executive order Monday instructing federal government agencies to cut duplicative and unnecessary programs across the board. The order is intended to “improve the efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of the executive branch.”
That’s big league stuff.
Here’s more.

“This executive order is another major step toward making the federal government efficient, effective and accountable to the people,” Trump said in signing the order at the White House, while flanked by Cabinet members.
“There is duplication and redundancy everywhere. Billions and billions of dollars are being wasted on activities that are not delivering results,” he added.

Donald Trump clearly understands that government has grown too big.
That simple fact is a reason to be extremely optimistic about the next 4-8 years.
