Sponsor & Supplier – Majority Of ISIS Militants Are Citizens Of Saudi
Wahhabism is the main source of global terrorism, as identified by the European Parliament in July 2013. Wahhabism is so influential because Saudi Arabia sponsors the religious movement. Besides free flow of money, Muslims were easily influenced largely due to Saudi’s status as the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina.
While it’s a public knowledge that Saudi Arabia is a key ally of United States in the Middle East, it’s also a public domain that Saudi was the main sponsor of four coordinated terrorist attacks on American soil on September 11, 2001. United States didn’t punish Saudi but instead covered up the terrorism (like a lapdog) because Saudi possesses the world’s largest reserves of oil.
It would take another 15 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks for United States to become the world’s latest oil exporter. Today, the reverse is true as Saudi is trapped in a losing war against U.S. shale drillers while trying to push up crude oil prices, as if they still control the global crude oil, to balance its deficits. But something remains unchanged since September 11, 2001.
If Saudi was the platinum sponsor of al-Qaeda 15 years ago, the same kingdom is the main provider of militants for the terror group ISIS (Daesh, ISIL, Islamic State). Based on a report from Fox News, it’s now exposed that Sunni Islamic State Saudi, the key ally of America, is the top supplier of terrorists for the barbarian group in Iraq.
The revelation was provided by Iraqi Navy sources who said – “The Saudi presence in ISIS is very large. What we have left are mainly Iraqis and Saudis. The Saudis make up a large number of suicide bombers, as they already have the ground work of radicalization installed in their minds from radical Sheikhs in Saudi. And we’ve caught important ISIS commanders.”
Even after ISIS has been defeated in Syria and is being defeated in Iraq, Saudis make up as many as 30% of ISIS fighters left in Iraq – according to Iraqi intelligence officers. While Saudis comprise the largest single contingent of ISIS fighters, the Russian Chechens make up the second-largest contingent. At peak, as many as 30,000 foreigners from more than 100 countries were recruited by ISIS.
The Saudis who joined ISIS have streamed into the conflict nation of Iraq and Syria through Turkish border. To prove that the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina has been supplying fighters to ISIS, Fox News was presented with identification and banking cards belonging to Saudi citizens, recovered from casualties of the terror war.
As Saudi continues to sponsor terror activities and supply terrorists, amazingly, U.S. State Department calls the kingdom a “a strong partner in regional security and counterterrorism efforts, providing military, diplomatic, and financial cooperation.” Of course, Saudi Arabia is the United States’ largest foreign military sales (FMS) customer – nearly US$100 billion of active sales.
Iraqi Intelligence estimates that Saudi had contributed at least 7,000 militants as early as 2014 to ISIS’ terrorism activities. Saudi militants who joined the Daesh hold high-level rankings. Amusingly, it was Saudi’s Wahhabism and Salafism that has radicalized the Saudis, who in turned have launched numerous attacks on the kingdom itself.
Some observers say there’s little difference between ISIS and Saudi Arabia. ISIS terrorists slits throats, kills, stones, cuts off hands, destroys humanity’s common heritage and archaeology and rapes women – both Muslims and non-Muslims. The Saudi Sheikhs, on the other hand, are better dressed and neater but does the same things nonetheless.
Therefore, it screams hypocrisy of the highest order when Trump administration bans nationals from 6 Muslim-majority countries – Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen – from travelling to the United States for 90 days, effective March 16, 2017, in his revised executive order but conveniently ignores terrorism sponsor and supplier Saudi Arabia.
It is said that ISIS can never be defeated because ISIS itself is first and foremost a culture, not a militia. Just like al-Qaeda that gave birth to ISIS, the next generation of jihadism will be evolved from ISIS. In fact, ISIS has a mother – the invasion of Iraq. But it also has a father – Saudi Arabia. And the father isn’t ready to stop funding and supplying future terrorism in the name of jihadism.
ISIS actually admits they are losing territories but insists that “the caliphate will not perish.” Instead of a physical caliphate, the ISIS promises a “virtual caliphate”, with a new generation of jihadist inspired to continue the fight. If Saudi was forced to build a great wall to stop invasion threats from its pet ISIS, imagine the damage that the ISIS’ offspring could do later.
