Scrapes for biker in car collision at Krokop 3

MIRI: A motorcyclist was injured after he rear-ended a moving car near Krokop 3 yesterday afternoon.
Both vehicles were heading towards the city centre from Krokop.
In the noon accident, the car’s driver was stunned by a loud crash coming from the back of her vehicle.
She immediately pulled over by the roadside to inspect and was taken aback to see a motorcyclist lying in the middle of the road.
An ambulance and traffic police were mobilised to the scene after being alerted to the incident.
Meanwhile, in unrelated accident near the hilltop along Jalan Airport, two cars were involved in a collision.
No serious injury was reported. It was learnt that one car was coming out of a junction when the crash happened with another vehicle which was heading towards Riam.
In the 1pm accident, both damaged vehicles were towed away to avoid traffic congestion.
