Islamophobia Hits Saudi – 40,000 Muslim Pakistanis Deported Over Terror Fear

Non-Muslims are often slapped with an “Islamophobia” sticker whenever they talk about terrorism committed by radical Islamic terrorist. That were the 3 magic words not even former President Barack Obama dares to express. In actuality, it was the liberal and globalist non-Muslims who make a mountain out of a molehill on the issue of Islamophobia.

Therefore, when President Trump signed an executive order titled “Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States,” which temporarily halts the entry of foreign nationals from 7 Muslim countries – Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen – the liberal Americans rose and attacked their own government.

The so-called liberals, mostly non-Muslims, were foaming at the mouth against an effort by their own president to make the country a safer place. Amazed and amused, Arab countries actually supported Trump’s ban. Right after Trump’s ban, Kuwait, a Muslim kingdom, bans 5 of their Muslim brothers too – nationals of Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.

Of course, those liberals conveniently ignored Islamophobia practiced by Kuwait. They also chose not to criticise Saudi Arabia, the leader of the Arab, for not leading the Islamic world in condemning Trump administration. Shouldn’t six of Gulf wealthiest countries – Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain – condemn U.S. for discriminating against their brothers?

In a way, Islamophobia is normal and has been practiced by the Arab world for as long as one can remember. Sunni Muslims’ fear, prejudice, hatred and dislikes against Shia Muslims, and vice-versa, are classic examples of Islamophobia in the civilization of Muslims in the Arab world, are they not? Or does the concept of Islamophobia apply only to non-Muslims?

According to Saudi Gazette, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expelled almost 40,000 Pakistani migrant workers in the last four months since October 2016. The mass deportations come after a year of strikes and other unrest in the kingdom due to unpaid wages following the oil market’s decline. Official Saudi statistics say that 243,000 Pakistanis were deported between 2012 and 2015.

While the latest 40,000 deportations were also due to drug trafficking, forgery, physical assault, expired residency and theft, the primary reason the Saudi authorities booted them was because some of the migrant workers were linked with Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS). This is the first time that Riyadh has taken such a step in dealing with Pakistanis suspected of terrorism.

Recently, Saudi counter-terrorism agents arrested 15 Pakistanis in the Al-Harazat and Al-Naseem districts of Jeddah on terrorism-related charges. Besides Saudi, U.A.E. is another Gulf nation who has increased co-operation with India in counter-terror activities. Is Saudi tasting its own medicine of Wahhabism, the main source of global terrorism as identified by the European Parliament in 2013?

Last year, two Pakistani nationals as well as one Sudanese and one Syrian were also arrested for allegedly planning a terror attack on a football match between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in Jeddah’s Al-Jawhara Stadium. The plan was foiled while more than 60,000 spectators were watching the soccer match.

Abdullah Gulzar Khan, a 35-year-old Pakistani citizen who had lived and worked in Saudi Arabia legally for the previous 12 years, blew himself up in a suicide attack near the U.S. consulate in Jeddah. Last week alone, about 153 deported Pakistanis from Saudi Arabia reached Lahore on a special flight, included 148 men and 5 women, raising speculation that they were terrorists.

Abdullah Al-Sadoun, chairman of the security committee of the Shoura Council, has called for tougher screening process of Pakistani nationals before they are allowed entry into the country. He said – “Pakistan itself is plagued with terrorism due to its close proximity with Afghanistan. The Taliban extremist movement was itself born in Pakistan,”

Ironically, Saudi Arabia was among the three countries that recognised the Taliban government in Kabul between 1996 and 2001. Quoting the Saudi interior ministry, the Saudi Gazette said 82 Pakistanis are currently in intelligence prisons for suspected terror and security-related issues. As chief sponsor of global terrorism, it seems Saudi is powerless against the monster it created.

Saudi Arabia King Salman Thumbs Up

The burning question is – can we also call King Salman Islamophobia or anti-Islam, as what President Trump is being called? Both wanted a tougher screening process before allowing Muslims into their respective countries. Both wanted to stop Muslim terrorists or Muslim extremists. The only difference is: Saudi has already deported 40,000 Muslims – without being condemned.
